Alex Song. Yes or No?
Before Christmas he may have been the first on my teamsheet if I was picking team. Oozed class, strong on the ball, intelligent, great positional play and the list goes on.

Since Christmas he seems to be away with the fairies, loses the ball in dangerous positions, his passing has been poor and again the list goes. I also wonder how much this has to do with the general dip in form across the squad and fattty?

So end of the season do we pay £10m for him Yes or No?

Yes I have been watching. Even with the drop in performance levels. He still is still head and shoulders above the other two donkeys I've mention. And as for the price.! Well in this day and age. 10 million for Alex is.( Pardon the punn.) A bit of a song....

Yes, if he wants to sign. He is worth at least 15m.

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
It's a dip in form and it happens to everyone. We'd be absolutely mental to not sign him - although I'm sure he'll go somewhere higher.

Started out like a steam train ending up like a donkey IMO we should concentrate on making sure we sign jenkinson as our priority then a top class central defender

Maybe there is a cunning plan at work here - he is deliberately playing poorly in order to devalue himself so we can afford him.

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
Yes. In a better balanced midfield, he will be even better. Will depend on fee too of course. 10 - 12 million max IMO He needs some players around him and up front that can provide movement and passing options. He struggled a bit after coming back from that trip to Africa and an couple of injuries but even in the WBA defeat he was one player who looked half decent even if by his standards he was below par.

If we want to improve the squad strength and depth we need the likes of Song as a foundation. Again IMHO.

Know it's not popular to say it but he's like Adeybayor....good when he wants to be,but how often can he be arsed ? There is a reason why Arsenal let him go and he's out of favour with Barcelona

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
On his day he is a great player and leagues ahead of anyone else at the club, so yes.

But in 2015 he has been shockingly shit. Terrible passing and decision making. One good pass a game doesn't mske up for 30-40% completion rste and terrible judgement in his own half. Shame because whene he applies himself he looks a world-class player. Needs to get his head in gear and work harder. His current sloppy form is nobody's fault but his own.
